Let me start by saying it is an honor to serve as the Superintendent of Christian County Public Schools.   Growing up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, serving in the United States Active Army for 10 years, and working in the local public school system have all shaped my career experience and life perspective that I bring to work daily.  Fifteen years ago I began my educational journey at Belmont Elementary School as a 5th grade social studies teacher.  I completed my Masters of School Leadership at Murray State University and continued working in CCPS moving to Lacy Elementary school and continuing their rich tradition as a school principal.  I was fortunate enough to move onto Christian County Middle School as their principal for 2 years.  In 2015 I transitioned into the principal’s position at Christian County High School.   The work at Christian County High School was by far the most challenging of my career to this point, but also the most rewarding.  While at CCHS the staff moved the school from state level priority status to a Distinguished School Classification in just 3 short years.  CCHS also exited from state assistance, achieved his highest ACT composite score in the last 10 years (18.4), and during the 2018 school year, achieved some of the highest growth at the high school level in the state of Kentucky.  In March of 2020, at the start of the COVID Pandemic, I interviewed and was fortunate enough to be selected as the next Superintendent of Christian County Public Schools.

I would like to conclude by saying as the Superintendent of our local schools I’m invested and “ALL IN” on the success of this district over the next several years.  My family has graduated through the schools of CCPS and will continue our public school enrollment tradition.  I have been happily married for 18 years to Kelly, and together we have 5 children, Sarah, Ben, Caroline, Jaycee, and Everlee.  We look forward to them receiving the support, guidance, and education of the local public schools for many years to come.  Through building leadership capacity, installing core values, and adopting a visionary perspective our goal is to grow and develop Christian County Public Schools into one of the best public school systems in the state of Kentucky.
